October in a nutshell
The month started out with Grandma and Grandpa coming to stay for the weekend. We had fun at the biggest pumpkin contest at thanksgiving point.
We had crazy hair day. We are getting better and better at this every year. Thanks Melissa for all the bows, it was fun making her a flower head!
Kaitlyn had a field trip, and i was lucky enough to go. I love knowing my kids still think I am cool and want me to come. Hopefully those days will never end, but I have a funny feeling that they will.
And we had our ward Halloween party. I decided that the girls would be Indians. Kaitlyn took some convincing... OK I forced her. But after a few frustrating hours of sewing wondering why I do this every year, there costumes turned out pretty cute.
Avery even got in on the fun!!
Sadly my Indian costume never got finished. One of those projects I haven't been able to finish. But Greg dressed up for the first time this year and I didn't even get a picture. But I surely will on Halloween!!

October is almost gone..
I seem to be having a hard time getting anything done these days including a post on my blog. I am blaming this problem solely on this...
This little bundle seems to prevent me from finishing anything lately. Well at least I am gonna blame it on her. Just now I can hear her stirring, she must sense that I have started something and how dare I actually finish it. Though it has been a long time since we have had a baby in the house I am enjoying it a little more this time. I love just sitting in my chair letting her sleep on my chest, I actually enjoy our early morning feeding where she greets me with a big huge good morning smile. I seem to be a little more relaxed this time, sometimes Avery gets to stay in her pajamas all day instead of getting all dolled up. Though i don't seem to get anything done around the house I enjoy the relaxed, slower pace in our house. Sometimes I become frustrated that I can't get anything finished, (it took me two days to carve my pumpkin) I know it will soon change and then I will miss my sweet tiny baby and wish the days she slept on my chest so peacefully weren't over. So for now my blog may lack, my house may be a mess but I am loving my new life. Thanks Avery, I didn't really want to get anything done anyway!!
