Thumb Sucking Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn has a little hang nail on her thumb that she sucks with her "pink blankie" She keeps asking me to put a band aid on her thumb because it is hurting. The problem is when she goes down for her nap, she wants me to take her band aid off so that she can suck her thumb. Today I suggested that maybe she should just stop sucking her thumb and then her owie would get better. She quickly responded, " but , mom, when I go to sleep I am really gonna need it" kids, kids kids!!
