Back to January

In my defense, The blogging has always been my job in our house, a job that I have always enjoyed. And the picture taking has always been Greg's job. Greg has always taken alot of pictures of the family and the fun things that we were doing. But recently Greg has picked up a new hobby that has stole his photography fire. So I don't have near the pictures to work with. Last year we had over 225 pictures for January and this year less than 80. So yes I will be asking and begging Greg to dust off the camera for some more pictures.

January started off with Kaitlyn birthday. She turned 5!! I cannot believe she is so old, she seems to be getting so big. This year we had her party at Chuck E Cheese and just like always it was a great success. She had a great time with all her little friends and mom was glad to leave the mess there instead of having to clean up the house after.

Kaitlyn was so excited to get to invite some of her cousins to her party this year. Living here with not much family around is always hard for birthdays and other special days. So we were excited when it worked out that Eli, Easton,Carter and Mckay could join us this year. We love our friends, but love it even more when our family can be there too.

January was also spent doing a little skiing. We enjoyed another annual Anderson Family Ski Trip. This year Kaitlyn joined us out on the slopes. This definitely tested dad's patience. But when the day was over we were glad that we sorta forced her to come.

Matayia was trying to decide if she even wanted to ski this year and finally decided( with a little coaxing from Jacie) that skiing is actually fun. It was nice to see her enjoy it this year. Saturday was a really foggy day and there were times that we couldn't even see a few feet in front of us. Which of coarse mad Matayia really nervous.

After awhile Kaitlyn decided that she had, had enough so I happily agreed to sit in the lodge with her for awhile. We had a small, intresting photo shoot together which was actually amusing for me... and her.

As for Avery, no skiing for her, just a little bumbo sitting with her cousin Carson.

Thanks to all those who watched Avery so we could enjoy a little time on the slopes.
