Cedar Hills Days

We live just one street outside Cedar Hills, but are lucky to get to enjoy their celebration so close every year. The day always starts off with a great little parade. Not too long, not too short and the kids favorite thing.... Lots of candy!!

The parade route goes right through our ward so we just walk one street over with our chairs and sit on the lawn with our friends.

After the Parade we walked over to the park to enjoy the festivities. We can never resist a snow cone...

A pony ride...

Or a few blow up activities.

They also had a little "money dig" at the sand volleyball court. They buried over $300 dollars in coins and let the kids dig for the money. They started with the younger kids and slowly added the older kids. I told the girls they needed to earn their keep and they needed to find at least $10 each!!

They searched....

And Searched....

And jointly came home with $5.50 exactly!! I guess you could say they weren't all that aggressive in their digging!! (I am not so sure there was really $300 dollars, it sure looked like alot of pennies!!)
