Pink BB Gun

A couple of weeks before Matayia's birthday we were camping and Matayia shot a BB gun for the first time. She thought this was pretty cool. I was a little surprised at how well she actually shot the gun and how many times she actually hit the target (a few empty pop cans) After shooting the gun she knew exactly what she wanted for her birthday, her very own BB gun!! She then found out they made pink BB guns and as you could imagine the pink idea was even more exciting. Matayia asked Grandma and Grandpa Anderson if they could give her a pink BB gun for her birthday. Greg kinda questioned the BB gun idea for a 7 year old. He said he didn't get a BB gun until he was eight!! I assured him if he was ready for a BB gun at 8 Matayia was definitely ready at 7. When Matayia got the package from Grandma and Grandpa she knew exactly what it was and was so excited to start shooting. We called Grandma to thank her for the present and Matayia told her we were going over to the orchard to shoot it. Matayia said "I hope there aren't any snakes or squirrels over there" to which Grandma responded "you have a BB gun, you could just shoot them" Matayia quickly replied "why would I do that?" Just one more difference between girls and boys!! Matayia sticks to shooting pop cans and targets!!
